No other weapon in Counter-Strike is as iconic as the AWP. This sniper rifle has extremely high damage: it can kill with one shot. In the scoped mode, the accuracy is simply perfect. But the AWP has significant downsides. It reloads slowly, making a player open and defenseless. It negatively affects movement speed. The accuracy becomes awful when the scope is off or during movement. In addition to this, the AWP is very expensive. Only highly skilled players can use the AWP effectively, but probably everyone is fascinated by its charm.
