CS2 Update: Spooky Charms, New Stickers, Community Maps and More
At the beginning of October, a spooky atmosphere of Halloween is coming to Counter-Strike. Valve treating the community to new sets of CS2 charms and stickers. The Dr. Boom Charms collection is all about fun horror.
As for the gameplay changes, this CS2 update is rather small.
- The game has a special scoreboard icon for deaths from C4 bomb detonation.
- In deathmatch, you can enjoy a limited kill-streak bonus with Zeus-x27.
- Fixes for sniper scopes.
- Visual adjustment to charms: they shake when a player makes loud footsteps.
Dr. Boom Charms Collection
For Halloween 2025 and beyond, Counter-Strike 2 has received 22 charms of the Dr. Boom Charms Collection. These are funny but suitably spooky balls with small feet and ears.
All the new charms are available as rewards in The Armory. Also, you can buy these items in the CS2 Charms section of DMarket.
Missing Link Community Charms Collection
Valve introduced CS2 Charms with two collections: Missing Link Charms and Small Arms Charms. With the update from Oct. 2, 2025, we received one more, and it’s inspired by one of the original sets.
- Missing Link Community Charms Collection—It’s all about funny sausage dudes. These 23 charms were created by community artists.
2025 Community Stickers Collection
The stickers in the Armory have been rotated.
CS2 stickers from Gallery Case, Graphic Collection, and Character Craft have been removed.
Instead, the game has two new collections. There are 29 new items in the 2025 Community Stickers Collection. You’ll find a diverse variety of art styles here.
Sugarface 2 Stickers Collection
This new collection of stickers is smaller: only nine items. They all are different variations of somewhat disturbing but very colorful skulls.
New Community Maps
If you enjoy playing on community maps, this Counter-Strike 2 update has something interesting for you. Four new community-created maps are available in the game.
- Palacio and Golden: In Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch.
- Rooftop and Transit: To play Wingman matches and boost up your rank.
Update: Transit was removed from CS2 after two days only. The reasons are obscure, but reportedly, there was a political incorrectness involved.
The full patch notes of the Oct. 2 update are available on this official page. It lists minor adjustments and additions to map scripting.
