Premier Season 4 Update in CS2: Harlequin and Achroma skins
A pretty substantial update happened in Counter-Strike 2 for the start of Premier Season 4. The changes affect players of all skill levels. For the CS2 skins trading industry, the update has brought new weapon finishes and removed some older collections from in-game drops.
Harlequin and Achroma Skins in CS2
Two new skin collections in Counter-Strike 2 have very different art styles. Both have been added to the Weekly Care Package drops.
Harlequin CS2 skins feature amazingly bright colors. M4A1-S | Party Animal is absolutely awesome. Even weapons with lower rarity levels look great.
Achroma Collection lives up to its name. The color scheme is black and white here. However, these CS2 skins are still beautiful—thanks to the tricky shapes of the weapon bodies. It’s graffiti for the top item, AWP | The End.
AK-47 | Aphrodite: A Limited Edition Item
The update also adds one unique item: AK-47 | Aphrodite is part of the Armory rewards. The skin will be available for a limited time, therefore its market price has nice potential for growth.
A unique feature of AK-47 | Aphrodite is that this CS2 skin drastically changes its appearance with different pattern seeds and even Float Values.
In theory, all new skins drop in the game for free. Practically, if you aim for high-rarity items, it is much more reliable to buy Harlequin and Achroma skins on DMarket. Such items may become good investments.
A price spike may happen for skins from the 2018 Inferno, 2018 Nuke, Safehouse, and Dust 2 Collections. They were removed from the Weekly Care Package drops and are now only available via trading.
Anubis is back, replacing Train
The biggest change of the Premier Season 4 update is the return of Anubis to the Active Duty map pool in CS2. It has replaced Train at esports tournaments in 2026. Also, you can play Anubis in Premier and Competitive game modes.
The map comes with some changes.
- The developers have reversed Mid Doors orientation.
- Bridge Drop is near Mid Doors.
- You’ll find a new hole between E-Box and Bombsite B.
- On the A site, crates have been moved up to Walkway.
- Pillar on Bombsite A now has scaffolding.
It’s certainly time to refresh your knowledge of the Anubis callouts.
Slight weapon adjustments
While nothing drastic has happened to the top-tier CS2 weapons, the Premier Season 4 update brought us some slight adjustments for three SMGs.
The MP7 and the MP5-SD deal higher damage and have lower damage fall-off. They cost $100 less. PP-Bison received the same price change. It’s $100 cheaper now.
These weapons are on the lower side of the CS2 tier list, but these adjustments may motivate players to reconsider their preferences.
The start of a new Premier season means a good chance to improve your CS2 rating.
