Premier Season 5 comes with new CS2 skins and stickers: Update details
Counter-Strike 2 has received a highly anticipated update, with Cache in the Active Duty pool and fresh items in the Armory shop. Alongside various minor fixes and adjustments, Valve has made an unexpectedly big change for the C4 explosion.
Here are the most important parts of this CS2 patch.
- New weapon skin collections: Arabesque and Spy Tech.
- New sticker collections: Fruits & Vegetables and Auto Racing.
- The C4 explosion is a shockwave now.
- Premier Season 5 has started.
- Cache is in the Active Duty map pool.
- Five community maps have been added to CS2.
Arabesque and Spy Tech CS2 skin collections
For the in-game items trading community, receiving new CS2 weapon skins is always exciting. The July 2026 patch has brought us two collections, with 17 skins in each. The original purpose of these items is to refresh offers in the Armory shop. However, to get something really awesome for your inventory, check the CS2 marketplace offers.
In the Armory shop, you pay in-game credits for a random drop. It’s not all that likely you’ll get beauties such as AK-47 | AUTOEXEC or AWP | Sovereign Flame. The Arabesque collection items are inspired by Arabesque art and Arabian mythology. The Classified M4A4 | Falak and the Covert AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn are among the best skins you can get from this set.
The Spy Tech collection obviously has futuristic vibes. It includes the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol skin of the Covert rarity, which can potentially become a nice ingredient for knife trade-ups. M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch is a notable skin for top-tier weapons.
New CS2 stickers: Fruits & Vegetables and Auto Racing
Two new sets of Counter-Strike stickers include 28 items from the Auto Racing collection and 27 Fruits & Vegetables items. The community’s focus sure is on the Lenticular stickers that change their appearance depending on the viewing angle. Again, buying these CS2 cosmetics on the marketplace is a more reliable method than hoping for random-drop luck.
C4 explosion changes
It’s a surprising part of this CS2 update. From now on, the C4 bomb explodes with a shockwave. The damage players receive depends on the surrounding obstacles that block the wave, not only on the distance.
Pay attention to the health indicator. It gets red flashes that show the explosion effect. This adjustment should motivate players to explore new, safe post-planting positions.
Cache in Active Duty and Premier Season 5
Valve released Cache to CS2 a bit earlier. The developers clearly hinted that this hyped map will be part of the Active Duty pool—to be played at esports events and in Premier mode. The update has added Cache and removed Overpass.
Premier Season 5 is a new opportunity for CS2 players to prove their skills and climb the CS Rating ladder.
Community maps and minor adjustments
In total, CS2 has received five new community maps with this update.
- Boulder, Fachwerk, and Shelter are for Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch game modes.
- Debris and El Dorado are smaller, and you can play Wingman on them.
As for the minor adjustments, the patch has optimized the scoreboard performance cost, so that the simple action of showing it doesn’t overload your PC. Also, some fixes have been made to Cache, Dust II, and Inferno. Check out the full patch notes in the official blog post.
This CS2 update is a sign of the next esports season. From BLAST Bounty Summer to the PGL Singapore Major, the best teams in the world will be battling for money and glory! Cache will be available to pick, and pro teams will need to adjust to the new C4 explosion.
