Tim Walsh, VP of THQ Partners, Joins DMarket

18 April 2018 —  Santa Monica, CA —  DMarket, the world’s first and only working marketplace on blockchain for in-game items trading, is pleased to introduce its new Director of Business Development — Tim Walsh.  

Tim Walsh has more than 20 years’ experience in the games, software and music industries.

Over the last few years he maintained a strong relationship with the game publishers and developers, including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, EA, Ubisoft, Smilegate, Tencent, and Activision among others.   

Tim was Vice President of THQ Partners (THQ Inc.), an American video games developer and publisher. Among THQ’s internally created and published games were: Darksiders, Worms, Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40 000, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction and Saints Row. The company held exclusive, long-term licensing agreements with leading entertainment content creators such as Disney, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Pixar and WWE.  

Among Tim’s achievements at THQ Partners were signing a contract to develop South Park: The Stick of Truth game which went on to become a major hit. He also created a new profit center that offered global publishing and distribution services to developers and publishers for retail and digital channels. In addition, Tim built an extensive network of developers, publishers, marketing and hardware partners.

Most recently, Tim was a Partner at Interactive Studio Management. There he represented development studios and executed their business development strategy. He worked closely with publishers to secure development and publishing agreements.
