ESL One LA Dota 2 Major 2020
ESL has announced the ESL One LA Online Championship 2020 instead of the planned ESL One LA Major, due to the situation with COVID-19. The Online Championship will host 34 teams which will be divided into five regional leagues. The total prize pool of ESL One LA Online will be $375,000.

The prize pool of the ESL One LA 2020 Online amounts to a total of $375,000. Prize distribution into leagues is as follows:

- EU + CIS: 2 Groups (8 teams in each) with a Round Robin format
- China: 1 group of 6 teams
- NA/ SEA/ SA: 1 group of 4 teams
- All matches Bo3
Playoffs
- EU + CIS: TBA
- CN: The 1st and 2nd best teams of the group will fight for a coveted Grand-Final slot, the 3rd and 4th places will then play against each other to determine the winner. This team will then play against whoever loses from the game between 1st and 2nd position, before the winner of this match goes on to the Grand-Final
- NA/ SEA / SA: 1st team go to Grand-Final, 2nd, and 3rd will fight to determine the second Grand-Final team
- All other matches are Bo3
- Grand Final is Bo5
