In 2020 the COVID-19 situation turned against offline tournaments. Due to the global pandemic, most of the competitions in spring 2020 were canceled or rescheduled. BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European/American Finals

Initially, RFSRH planned to hold BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Finals in Moscow, like a general tournament between all regions. But given the situation, they changed the type to online and separated Europe and America into two different competitions. Also, the winner of the American Finals and two first places of the European Finals will get a direct invite to the Global Final 2020, which will be held in January 2021.
We know that RFRSH is a good tournament operator that prepares interesting LAN-events, but we will see how they will customize their tournaments with a new format.

ESL Pro League Season 12

ESL had to cancel EPL Season 11 in March and April 2020, but they’re planning to hold a new season in the Fall. ESL Pro League has a unique CS:GO format with 24 teams playing for two months to determine who will get to the final. In the final stage, they identify the champion of EPL. There are many chances that ESL will change the format of the EPL Season 12, we should see it soon.

The same as the Spring Regular Season tournament, the fall will identify a participant of Blast Premier: 2020 Fall Showdown and Blast Premier: 2020 Fall Finals.
ESL One Rio 2020 Major

ESL One Rio is the first major in 2020 and the first event of such importance in Brazil. Even with a global pandemic, this beautiful country cannot be without such a remarkable tournament. Valve and ESL changed the date from spring to fall and increased a prize pool from $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. It will be divided among the sixteen teams, and the top eight teams will get pro circuit points. On the three last majors, we saw a massive performance from the Astralis, maybe that will change in Brazil.
