Enjoy The Days of Summer in Call of Duty: WWII
There are no vacations in real wars, but virtual ones are totally different – they bring lots of fun any season and boost the gaming excitement with special events. Call of Duty: WWII is all about virtual wars, and it offers a greatly expanded portion of joy during a limited-time community event The Days of Summer.
Players get a new map, an aerial dogfight mode, and new weapons and gear.
The most interesting part of this in-game event is the Sandbox multiplayer map. The name does not refer to a game genre but indicates the presence of a sandbox in the virtuality. All the soldiers are turned to small plastic figures, green and grey. They fight against each other for map domination, and colossal sand toys surround them.
The Sandbox map has a bright and colorful style, which adds rather a cartoonish atmosphere to this very serious war game – the map is like Fortnite Battle Royale in comparison to PUBG.
Three new weapons
To perform your missions in the sandbox at the highest level possible, consider using three new firearms added to Call of Duty: WWII for these Summer Days:
- Ribeyrolles – a stylish submachine gun. Its appearance reminds one of CS:GO skins
- 3-Line Sniper Rifle – for super accurate shots
- Automaton – a mega-powerful automatic rifle
Also, The Days of Summer offers some summer-themed gear.
Aerial battles return to Call of Duty: WWII! Control your warplane and participate in hot battles above the Egyptian Pyramids and Crimean Mountains. Beware of not only opponents but also tricky natural obstacles.
Call of Duty: WWII is a popular shooting game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Its campaign is based on the events in the European theatre of World War II. The multiplayer mode here allows you to play for various armies from that war. This game is the first in our list of “Top 5 FPS Games in 2017.”
The next game in this series is going to be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Its release is planned on October 12, 2018. This installment will have a (very popular nowadays) Battle Royale mode – read about this in our review “Why Battle Royale Games are On Top.”
