Dota 2 New 7.25 Patch Notes

General Changes

  • Reworked selection of heroes in All Pick mode. It now runs in five rounds, each with one hero selected by both sides. Their selection is hidden until the next round. If two players choose the same hero, the one who chose it first will get it. The second player will instead get extra time to choose another hero.
  • Redesigned the banning phase of heroes in All Pick mode. Previously, after half of the proposed heroes were banned, now each of them can be banned with a 50% chance. If players have offered less than ten heroes, the rest will be nominated for bans automatically based on how often they are banned at that level of rating.
  • The first rune gain now appears at 4:00 (then - every two minutes, as usual).
  • After 40:00 on the river there no longer appears two runes gain.
  • Removed the balancing of the award for killing, tied to the total value of the teams (the formula has been redesigned and simplified, details below).

Designations:

  • Position multiplier: 1.6 to 0.4 (depends on the killer’s position on the total value of his team).
  • Lag multiplier: 1.2 to 0.6 (depending on the position of the killer in total value on his team).
  • Winning multiplicator: 1 (if the team is behind) or 0 (if the team is in the lead).

1 hero: lag multiplier * position multiplier * (126 + 4.5 * victim level + wagering multiplier * (total value of the victim * 0.026 + 70) / 1).

2 hero: lag multiplier * position multiplier * (63 + 3.6 * victim level + wagering multiplier * (total value of the victim * 0.026 + 70) / 2).

3 heroes: lag multiplier * position multiplier * (31.5 + 2.7 * victim level + wagering multiplier * (total value of the victim * 0.026 + 70) / 3).

4 heroes: lag multiplier x position multiplier * (22.5 + 1.8 * victim level + wagering multiplier * (total value of the victim * 0.026 + 70) / 4).

5 heroes: lag multiplier x position multiplier * (18 + 0.9 * victim level + wagering multiplier * (total value of the victim * 0.026 + 70) / 5).

New gold distribution within the kill radius:

  • (50 + total value of the victim * 0.03) / number of heroes.
  • Gold for interrupting a series of murders increased from 60->480 to 200->690.
  • Experience for interrupting a series of murders increased from 400->1800 to 500->2040.
  • The number of interruptions per phase in Captain’s Mode has been changed from 3/2/1 to 4/1/1.
  • Number of available heroes in Random Draft mode has been decreased from 50 to 40.
  • Now it’s easier to make a stack of ancient creeps on the side of Light’s forces.
  • Chance of getting a neutral 1-degree item increased from 10% to 14%.
  • Fountain damage increased from 275 to 300.
  • Ice Armor at Ogre Charm: Deceleration reduced from 30 to 25.
  • Ice Armor for the Ogre Charm: additional armor reduced from 6 to 5.
  • The illusion rune now has the same effects as the Manta Style (changing position, scattering, dodging the projectile).

  • The additional mana has been reduced from 225 to 200.

IRON TALON

  • Chop: Now the ability can be used on ancient creeps.

POOR MAN’S SHIELD

  • Extra agility increased from 7 to 8.

PHILOSOPHER’S STONE

  • Additional gold per minute increased from 60 to 70.

GROVE BOW

  • Additional attack speed increased from 10 to 15.

NETHER SHAWL

  • The additional magic resistance has been increased from 20% to 25%.

SPIDER LEGS

  • The turnaround speed bonus has been increased from 30% to 50%.
  • Additional travel speed increased from 24% to 28%.

REPAIR KIT

  • Additional health recovery increased from 17 to 20.

ENCHANTED QUIVER

  • Certain Strike: Recharging reduced from 8 to 6 seconds.

HAVOC HAMMER

  • Havoc: Radius increased from 300 to 350.
  • Now it slows down the attack speed.

FLICKER

  • Flicker: Recharging reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.
  • Flicker: Radius reduced from 600 to 450.

THE LEVELLER

  • Additional attack speed increased from 50 to 60.

MINOTAUR HORN

  • Lesser Avatar: Duration increased from 1.75 to 2 seconds.

WITLESS SHAKO

  • Additional health has been increased from 1,000 to 1,200.

SEER STONE

  • Now gives +10 to mana recovery.

BALLISTA

  • Knockback: Net damage increased from 30 to 40.

WOODLAND STRIDERS

  • Restoration of health has been increased from 50 to 60.

TOWN PORTAL SCROLL

  • The cost has been increased from 50 to 90.

BOOTS OF TRAVEL

  • No longer has an active ability.
  • When in inventory, it improves the item: it recharges for 40 seconds, which then allows it to teleport to creatures and does not waste charges.
  • Extra travel speed increased from 32/35% to 38/44%.

JAVELIN

  • Pierce: Damage reduced from 100 to 80.

MJOLLNIR

  • The additional attack speed has been reduced from 75 to 65.

ORB OF VENOM

  • Poison Attack: Damage per second reduced from 5 to 2.
  • Poison Attack: Slowdown from close combat attacks increased from 12% to 15%.
  • Poison Attack: The duration of a Poison Attack is now reduced from 3 to 2 seconds.

RING OF REGEN

  • The cost was reduced from 250 to 225.

HEADDRESS

  • Iron Branch is no longer required for assembly.
  • No longer gives +3 to all attributes.
  • Regeneration Aura: health recovery increased from 2 to 2.5.

SAGE’S MASK

  • Additional mana recovery increased from 0.75 to 1.
  • The cost has reduced from 250 to 225.

RING OF BASILIUS

  • Iron Branch is no longer required for assembly.
  • No longer gives +3 to all attributes.
  • Basilius Aura: Additional mana recovery increased from 1.25 to 1.5.

BUCKLER

  • Iron Branch is no longer required for assembly.
  • No longer gives +3 to all attributes.
  • The cost of the recipe has been reduced from 300 to 225.
  • Buckler Aura: Additional armor increased from 2 to 2.5 (now only valid for player-controlled creatures).

VLADIMIR’S OFFERING

  • The bonus to all attributes has been reduced from 6 to 5.
  • Vladmir’s Aura: Additional mana recovery increased from 1.25 to 1.5.

VEIL OF DISCORD

  • Basilius Aura: Additional mana recovery increased from 1.25 to 1.5.

BLOODTHORN

  • Now, instead of Crystalys, you need a Hyperstone item to build it.
  • Additional damage has been reduced from 75 to 30.
  • Additional attack speed increased from 30 to 85.
  • Removed the passive ability so as to give a chance for a critical attack.

BATTLE FURY

  • Now Broadsword and Mithril Hammer are required instead of Demon Edge and the recipe to build it.

BROADSWORD

  • The cost was reduced from 1,200 to 1,000.
  • Additional damage has been reduced from 18 to 16.

CRYSTALYS

  • The cost of the recipe has increased from 500 to 700.
  • Additional damage has been reduced from 45 to 34.
  • Critical Strike: Increased critical impact probability from 20% to 30%.

VANGUARD

  • A recipe worth 200 is no longer required for assembly.

CRIMSON GUARD

  • The cost of the recipe has increased by 200.

ABYSSAL BLADE

  • The cost of the recipe has increased by 200.

EAGLESONG

  • The cost was reduced from 3,200 to 3,000.

BUTTERFLY

  • Additional dexterity has been reduced from 35 to 30.

ETHEREAL BLADE

  • Ether Blast: Damage to the main attribute has been reduced from 200% to 150%.
  • Ether Blast: Damage to the base attribute is increased from 75 to 125.

KAYA AND SANGE

  • Mana flow and mana loss reduction has been increased from 16% to 18%.
  • Additional damage from abilities increased from 12% to 14%.

YASHA AND KAYA

  • Mana flow and mana loss reduction has been increased from 16% to 18%.
  • Additional damage from abilities increased from 12% to 14%.

NULLIFIER

  • Nullify: The ability no longer prohibits the target from using objects.
  • Nullify: The ability now permanently removes positive effects from the target.
  • Nullify: The duration has been reduced from 6 to 5 seconds.
  • Nullify: The slowdown has been reduced from 100% by 0.4 seconds to 80% by 0.5 seconds.
  • Nullify: The recharge time is reduced from 13 to 11 seconds.
  • Nullify: Range increased from 600 to 900.
  • Additional armor increased from 5 to 8.
  • Additional damage increased from 65 to 80.

FORCE STAFF

  • Force: Range of application reduced from 750 to 550 (850 for enemies).
  • Force: The ability effect can now be dispelled.

HURRICANE PIKE

  • Hurricane Thrust: Range of application on allies reduced from 800 to 550.
  • Hurricane Thrust: The ability effect can now be dispelled.

GLIMMER CAPE

  • Glimmer: Range of application reduced from 800 to 550.

OBSERVER WARD

  • The viewing radius has been reduced from 1,600 to 1,400.

HOLY LOCKET

  • The cost of the recipe has been reduced from 800 to 500.

NECRONOMICON

  • Summoning: Gold and experience for killing the called creatures have been reduced from 100/150/200 to 50/100/150.
  • The cost of the recipe has been reduced from 1,300 to 1,250.

AEON DISK

  • Combo Breaker: Recharging reduced from 115 to 105 seconds.

SILVER EDGE

  • Shadow Walk: Now the attack reduces treatment and recovery by 50%.

CLARITY

  • Replenish: Duration reduced from 50 to 30 seconds.
  • Replenish: Additional mana recovery increased from 4.5 to 6.

INFUSED RAINDROPS

  • Additional mana recovery increased from 0.75 to 0.9.

BOTTLE

  • The cost was reduced from 650 to 625.

  • The cost has been reduced from 700 to 600.
  • Additional health recovery increased from 3.75 to 4.5.

  • The restoration of health has been reduced from 16 to 14.

  • Level 25 talent: The Mist Coil’s range of applications has increased from 375 to 425.

ALCHEMIST

  • Agility gain increased from 1.2 to 1.5.

ARC WARDEN

  • Base travel speed increased from 280 to 285.

BATRIDER

  • The extra travel speed with Firefly has been reduced from 5/10/15/20% to 4/8/12/16/16%.
  • Flamebreak blast damage has been reduced from 50/75/100/125 to 30/60/90/120.

BEASTMASTER

  • Base attack speed increased from 100 to 110.
  • Wild Axes damage type has been changed from physical to magic.
  • Wild Axes effect duration increased from 10 to 12 seconds.
  • Wild Axes no longer passes through magic immunity.

BLOODSEEKER

  • The treatment for murder from Bloodrage has been changed from 13/17/21/25% to 10/15/20/25%.

BOUNTY HUNTER

  • Redesigned improvement from Aghanim’s Scepter. Now adds the Jinada ability effect to Shuriken Toss, increases range up to 650 and reduces recharging to 6 seconds.
  • Shuriken Toss mana allowance has been changed from 135 to 120/125/130/135.
  • Level 15 talent: “+50 to attack speed” changed to “+75 to Shuriken Toss damage”.
  • Level 20 talent: “+125 damage from Shuriken Toss” replaced with “+60 attack speed”.

BREWMASTER

  • Warrior fire damage with Primal Split has been increased from 80/120/160 to 80/130/180.
  • Permanent Immolation on a warrior of fire with Primal Split: The damage interval is now reduced from 1 to 0.5 seconds.
  • Level 20 talent: Additional health for warriors with Primal Split has increased from 1,500 to 1,750.
  • Level 25 talent: The Primal Split reload reduction has increased from 65 to 75 seconds.

BROODMOTHER

  • Level 10 talent: Additional health increased from 200 to 250.

CHAOS KNIGHT

  • Phantasm recharging is reduced from 145 to 145/135/125 seconds.
  • The range of Reality Rift applications has increased from 475/550/625/700 to 550/600/650/750.

CLINKZ

  • Removed the restriction on the maximum level of neutral creeps for the Death Pact.
  • Skeleton damage from the Burning Army has increased from 28% to 30%.

CRYSTAL MAIDEN

  • Delay to frostbite from Freezing Field with scepter reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds.

DARK SEER

  • Additional speed from Surge has been changed from 70% to +250.
  • Recharge of Surge is increased from 16/14/12/10 to 19/16/13/10 seconds.
  • Level 10 talent: “+90 to damage” changed to “+125 to Ion Shell radius”.

DAZZLE

  • Redesigned improvement from Aghanim’s Scepter.
  • Using any ability, the hero automatically attacks up to eight enemies within an 800 radius.
  • Level 10 talent: Additional damage has been reduced from 75 to 60.

DEATH PROPHET

  • Now the Exorcism ability speeds up movement by 20%.

DRAGON KNIGHT

  • Base travel speed increased by 5.

DROW RANGER

  • Delay before attack reduced from 0.65 to 0.55 seconds.

EARTH SPIRIT

  • Agility gain increased from 1.5 to 2.4.
  • Level 10 talent: Additional damage increased from 50 to 65.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional damage range of Rolling Boulder increased from 300 to 400.
  • Level 20 talent: Additional damage from ability increased from 15% to 20%.

ELDER TITAN

  • Level 20 talent: Additional damage from Echo Stomp increased from 100 to 125.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional magic resistance increased from 15% to 20%.

EMBER SPIRIT

  • Searing Chains recharging is reduced from 14/12/10/8 to 11/10/9/8 seconds.
  • The Searing Chains mana allowance has been changed from 110 to 80/90/100/110.
  • Tier 10 talent: Additional damage absorption for Flame Guard increased from 275 to 350.

ENCHANTRESS

  • Jump range from Sproink has been increased from 450 to 500.

ENIGMA

  • Basic intelligence increased by 3.
  • Damage per second from Black Hole increased from 50/100/150 to 100/150/200.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional damage from Malefice triggering increased from 40 to 100.

GRIMSTROKE

  • Tear damage with Phantom’s Embrace has been increased from 80/170/260/350 to 120/200/280/360.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional damage to ability increased from 15% to 20%.
  • Level 20 talent: Additional range of Stroke of Fate increased from 600 to 800.

GYROCOPTER

  • Delay after attack reduced from 0.97 to 0.65 seconds.
  • Force increased from 2.3 to 2.5.
  • The number of volleys with Cannon Flak has been reduced from 3/4/5/6 to 2/3/4/5.
  • Cannon Flak recharging is reduced from 40 to 20 seconds.
  • Time to use volleys with Cannon Flak has been reduced from 15 seconds to 10 seconds.
  • Damage from a second Call Down projectile has increased from 100/150/200 to 200/275/350.
  • Call Down recharging is increased from 55/50/45 to 90 seconds.
  • Level 20 talent: The Call Down reload reduction is increased from 25 to 50 seconds.

HUSKAR

  • Maximum attack speed from Berserker’s Blood has been reduced from 160/220/280/340 to 140/200/260/320.

JUGGERNAUT

  • Redesigned improvement from Aghanim’s Scepter. Gives Swift Slash ability which is identical to Omnislash, but lasts 0.8 seconds.
  • Range of application: 650.
  • Recharge: 15 seconds.
  • Mana consumption: 100.

KEEPER OF THE LIGHT

  • Level 10 talent: “+6% to ability damage” was replaced by “-3 sec Blinding Light”.
  • Level 15 talent: “+1 attack to destroy Will-O-Wisp” replaced by “+2 to Will-O-Wisp triggers”.
  • Level 20 talent: “+40% to magic resistance” replaced by “+250 to Will-O-Wisp”.
  • Level 25 talent: “+3 to Will-O-Wisp triggers” replaced by “+3 to Will-O-Wisp destruction attacks”.

KUNKKA

  • Level 10 talent: Additional armor increased from 6 to 7.
  • Level 25 talent: Additional Tidebringer damage has been increased from 60% to 80%.

LEGION COMMANDER

  • Level 15 talent: Extra damage per hero from Overwhelming Odds increased from 65 to 80.

LESHRAC

  • Agility gain increased from 2.3 to 2.8.
  • Delay after attack reduced from 0.77 to 0.6 seconds.
  • Mana consumption with Pulse Nova decreased from 70/90/110 to 70.

LINA

  • Delay before attack reduced from 0.75 to 0.65 seconds.
  • Delay after attack reduced from 0.78 to 0.6 seconds.

LONE DRUID

  • Level 10 talent: “+125 to attack range” replaced by “+30 to bear movement speed”.

LUNA

  • Base force increased from 18 to 21.
  • Basic intelligence increased from 18 to 23.
  • Agility gain reduced from 3.6 to 3.4.

LYCAN

  • Health recovery from Feral Impulse has been increased from 1/3/5/7 to 2/4/6/8.
  • Shapeshift duration increased from 18 to 22 seconds.

MAGNUS

  • The deceleration time from Shockwave is increased from 0.75 to 0.9 seconds.
  • Level 10 talent: Additional health increased from 200 to 250.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional damage from Shockwave increased from 75 to 100.

MARS

  • Now Aghanim’s Scepter decreases God’s Rebuke ability overload always, not only during Arena of Blood action. Recharging God’s Rebuke with Scepter increased from 1.4 to 3.5 seconds.

MEDUSA

  • Level 15 talent: The additional mana from Mystic Snake has increased from 25% to 40%.

MIRANA

  • Base damage increased by 2.
  • Sacred Arrow damage increased from 40/120/200/280 to 60/150/240/330.

NATURE’S PROPHET

  • Delay after attack reduced from 0.77 to 0.6 seconds.
  • Wrath of Nature recharge increased from 60 to 85 seconds.
  • Wrath of Nature’s 50-second ability now gives you +4/5/6 of attack damage for each creature it kills.

NIGHT STALKER

  • Basic intelligence increased by 2.
  • Basic Health Recovery increased by 0.5.
  • Movement speed increased from 295 to 300.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional vampirism increased from 15% to 25%.
  • Level 25 talent: Dark Ascension recharge reduction increased from 40 to 60 seconds.

OGRE MAGI

  • Base armor reduced by 1.

PHOENIX

  • Basic health recovery increased from 0.5 to 1.
  • Base damage increased by 2.

PUCK

  • Base damage reduced by 2.

PUDGE

  • Basic health recovery increased from 0 to 1.
  • Now instead of restoring health, Flesh Heap’s ability increases magic resistance by 8/10/12/14%.

PUGNA

  • Mana loss from Nether Ward has been changed from 0.3 /0.6 / 0.9/ 1.2% to 0.6 /0.8 /1.2%.
  • Life Drain damage has been reduced from 175/275/375 to 150/225/300.
  • Life Drain recharging is reduced from 22 seconds to 7 seconds.
  • Aghanim’s Scepter now also increases damage to Life Drain ability to 200/300/400.
  • The range of Life Drain’s ability has been reduced from 1000 to 900.

QUEEN OF PAIN

  • The deceleration from Shadow Strike is increased from 20/30/40/50% to 20/35/50/65%.
  • Sonic Wave recharging is reduced from 135 to 125 seconds.

RIKI

  • Level 15 talent: Additional damage reduced from 35 to 30.

RUBICK

  • The consumption of the Fade Bolt mana is increased from 120/130/140/150 to 135/140/145/150.

SAND KING

  • The deceleration time from Caustic Finale has been reduced from 3 to 3 /3.5 /4 /4.5 seconds.
  • Now Caustic Finale’s ability to slow down the attack speed.
  • Mana cost on Epicenter increased from 110 to 110/120/130.

SHADOW DEMON

  • Damage from Demonic Purge has been increased from 250/350/450 to 300/400/500.

SILENCER

  • Now the theft of intelligence is tied to the ability of Glaives of Wisdom, not to the hero himself.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional deceleration from Arcane Curse increased from 12% to 14%.

SLARK

  • The range of Pounce with scepter has been reduced from 1200 to 1100.

SNAPFIRE

  • Added improvement from Aghanim’s Scepter. Gives Gobble Up ability.
  • Allows you to swallow an allied creep or hero to spit at enemies.
  • Spit the creature out for 1.5 seconds to stun enemies within a 400 radius and leave a fire puddle of the same radius that deals 100 damage per second for 3 seconds. You can keep the creature in its tummy for no longer than 3 seconds.
  • Recharge: 40 seconds.
  • Swallowing range: 150.
  • Scatterblast recharging increased from 10 to 13/12/11/10 seconds.

SNIPER

  • Base damage increased by 4.
  • Damage from Headshot reduced from 30/60/90/120 to 20/50/80/110.
  • Scepter Assassinate preparation time is reduced from 1 to 0.5 seconds.

SPECTRE

  • Basic health recovery has been increased from 1.5 to 2.5.
  • Shadow Step recharging reduced from 70 to 35 seconds.

SPIRIT BREAKER

  • Redesigned improvement from Aghanim’s Scepter.
  • Now increases Charge of Darkness’s extra speed by 100 and reduces recharging by 5 seconds.

STORM SPIRIT

  • Base attack speed increased from 100 to 110.

SVEN

  • Base travel speed increased by 5.

TECHIES

  • Level 25 talent: Speed of movement of devices is increased from 25 to 75.

TEMPLAR ASSASSIN

  • The application time of Psionic Projection has been reduced from 2 to 1 second.

TERRORBLADE

  • The previous Aghanim’s Scepter effect for Metamorphosis became a separate ability that appears in the form of a demon.
  • Recharge: 90 seconds.
  • Level 10 talent: Additional movement speed increased from 20 to 25.
  • Level 10 talent: Additional evasion increased from 15% to 20%.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional health increased from 250 to 300.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional attack speed increased from 25 to 30.
  • Level 20 talent: Reflection overload reduction increased from 8 to 10 seconds.

TIDEHUNTER

  • Base force increased by 3.

TINKER

  • Level 10 talent: Additional range of abilities increased from 125 to 150.
  • Level 15 talent: Additional duration of the machines increased from 2 to 3 seconds.

TINY

  • Delay after attack reduced from 1 to 0.7 seconds.

TREANT PROTECTOR

The additional health recovery from Nature’s Guise has been increased from 25% to 40%.

TUSK

  • Base travel speed increased by 5.
  • Damage from Ice Shards increased from 60/120/180/240 to 70/140/210/280.

UNDYING

  • Tombstone zombie damage has been increased from 36 to 46.

URSA

  • Damage for attack from Fury Swipes has increased from 7/14/21/28 to 10/20/30/40.
  • The number of attacks from Overpower has been reduced from 4/5/6/7 to 3/4/5/6.
  • Overpower reload decreased from 16/14/12/10 to 16/13/10/7 seconds.
  • Mana cost on Overpower reduced from 75 to 55/60/65/70.
  • Enrage ability no longer increases Fury Swipes damage.
  • Enrage duration increased from 4 to 4 /4.5 /5 seconds.
  • Enrage recharging is reduced from 70/50/30 to 50/40/30 seconds.
  • Enrage ability now gives +50% resistance to effects.
  • Level 25 talent: “Enrage gives 80% resistance to effects” replaced by “+3 to the number of attacks from Overpower”.

VENGEFUL SPIRIT

  • The application range of Magic Missile has been increased from 500 to 550.
  • The Magic Missile has been modified from 100/175/250/325 to 90/180/270/360.

VIPER

  • Damage per second from Viper Strike has increased from 60/100/145 to 80/120/160.
  • Level 10 talent: Vampirism ability increased from 8% to 10%.

  • Added improvement from Aghanim’s Scepter.
  • The Resonant Pulse ability gets two charges and superimposes 2 seconds of silence on enemies.

  • The delay before using Shadow Word has been reduced from 0.5 to 0.4 seconds.
  • Level 10 talent: Additional range of abilities increased from 150 to 175.
  • Level 20 talent: The range of Shadow Word has been increased from 300 to 375.

WEAVER

  • Basic intelligence increased from 13 to 16.
  • The intelligence has increased from 1.8 to 2.
  • Base mana recovery increased from 0.4 to 0.75.
  • Additional travel speed from Shukuchi has been changed from 225 to 220/240/260/280.

WINDRANGER

  • The difference in intelligence has been increased from 3 to 3.6.

WINTER WYVERN

  • Cold Embrace’s ability is now considered a cure, not a restoration of health.

WITCH DOCTOR

  • Mana consumption was reduced from 110/120/130/140 to 80/100/120/140.
  • Now the number of rebounds from Death Ward with scepter is not limited.

WRAITH KING

  • Vampiric Aura vampirism has been reduced from 6/12/18/24% to 5/10/15/20%.
  • The Vampiric Aura’s ability is now 1.5 times stronger on its owner.
