Wrangler
-
Type: Secondary Weapon
-
Starting Price: $0.02
The Wrangler looks like it was constructed from a pistol handle, an old joystick and a small satellite dish that probably belonged to a radar once. The main use of the Wrangler is to take manual control of your own sentry guns and provide them with a shield, a laser pointer, and an increased firing rate. The main drawback of this weapon is that the sentry guns turn off for three seconds upon switching to another weapon from the Wrangler, as well as reduced ammo and repair of the sentry gun while the shield is active.

Rescue Ranger
-
Type: Primary Weapon
-
Starting Price: $0.02
The Rescue Ranger is a primary weapon for the Engineer class. This community-created weapon was added to the game in December 2012 and resembles the standard Shotgun. However, it appears not to have been sawed off and features a different magazine tube. The weapon also has a monitor attached to it which is constantly on.
Those who choose to play with this weapon are able to pick up buildings at the cost of 100 metal, and repair friendly buildings by firing unique bolts at them instead of regular bullets. These abilities also come with a downside to counterbalance the weapon such as a smaller ammo capacity and making the user take mini-crits from all incoming damage when carrying a building.
Good and fun video games are always popular, no matter how old they are, and Team Fortress 2 is definitely proof of that statement, but with it being almost fourteen years old, how large of a player base does it actually have? For this information and more, check out our article with TF2 audience.
Gunslinger
-
Type: Melee Weapon
-
Starting Price: $0.09
The Gunslinger is essentially a robotic prosthetic limb that can be attached to the Engineer’s right hand, replacing the standard Sentry Gun in the process. The Gunslinger provides its user with numerous advantages, such as increased maximum health and a guaranteed critical strike on every third consecutive punch. It also increases the build speed by 150%, reduces metal cost by 23%, and provides you with a faster rotation and firing speed. All this comes at the cost of a 33% smaller health pool, 50% lower damage and no chance of random critical hits.
Widowmaker
-
Type: Primary Weapon
-
Starting Price: $0.02
The Widowmaker bears the resemblance to a futuristic brown bullpup shotgun that features a black grip with additional black and gray details. This community-created primary weapon uses metal as its primary resource in exchange for ammunition. Each shot that the player fires spends 30 metal, which makes this weapon capable of having a maximum of six shots. If the player deals enough damage with The Widowmaker, the metal they spend can be recovered. Another perk of The Widowmaker is that it deals 10% more damage to players who are targeted with the Engineers’ Sentry Gun.
Team Fortress 2 is an extremely interesting and fun game to play. It offers the players a wide variety of classes, weapons, and items to choose from which is great but can sometimes be a little overwhelming, especially for new players who are just trying out the game for the first time. Luckily, we have created a Team Fortress 2 guide for newbies that should make your first experience a lot more manageable.
Jag
-
Type: Melee Weapon
-
Starting Price: $0.22
The Jag comes in the form of a tool that is an amalgamation of a pipe wrench and a monkey wrench. While the weapon does provide the user with a 30% increased construction hit speed boost and a 15% faster firing speed, it also comes with a 20% slower repair rate, does 25% less damage, and has a 33% penalty when used against buildings.
Eureka Effect
-
Type: Melee Weapon
-
Starting Price: $0.02
The Eureka Effect is a community-created weapon that comes in the shape of a futuristic, yet very retro-like pipe wrench. The handle of it is painted with team colors and the head of the wrench has an atomic symbol etched into it. The Eureka Effect also has a coiled antenna attached to it with a red wire connected to a button on the handle of the wrench. In terms of unique effects, this wrench allows the user to teleport to his spawn area or teleporter exit, as well as providing a 50% lower metal cost when upgrading or building teleporters. To counterbalance this, the user gets 20% less metal from dispensers and pickups and the construction speed boost is lowered by 50%.
As a team-based first-person shooter game, Team Fortress 2 provides its players with a variety of different classes to choose from. Each of them comes with its own unique quirks and mechanics so it is difficult to know which one of them is the best for you. Luckily, our Team Fortress 2 ultimate classes guide should provide you with all the information you need to make the right choice.
C.A.P.P.E.R.
-
Type: Secondary Weapon
-
Starting Price: $8.98
The C.A.P.P.E.R., also known as the Capper, is a weapon made by the community for the Engineer class in Team Fortress 2, but it can also be used by Scouts. The weapon is essentially a ray gun with a team-colored body that has a silver wire in the front and a small rocket exhaust in the back. The Capper uses AA batteries for ammunition and shoots team-colored lasers at your enemies. The weapon functions exactly like the pistol, however enemies killed by it disintegrate into smoldering orange cinders and disappear, which makes this weapon unique for its cosmetics rather than its game-altering abilities.
